Attorney Joseph M. Barnes Obtains $300,000 Settlement In Garage Door Opener Case

Attorney Joseph M. Barnes successfully negotiated a significant, $300,000 settlement for a woman who was injured in 2005 by a defective garage door opener. The settlement was reached in November of 2009. The client suffered serious injuries when a garage door struck her violently in the head. Specifically, she sustained herniated discs, bulging discs, corneal abrasions, a crushed ear drum and leaking from her nose. She required a titanium plate to be inserted in her neck and was in chronic pain.
