Biography
Attorney Robert I. Reardon, Jr. has practiced law for over 50 years. While his practice has been varied, he has always been recognized for his work as a trial lawyer. He is board certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is known for his work in personal injury and wrongful death litigation, especially relating to complex motor vehicle accidents, product defects, construction accidents and medical malpractice.
Attorney Reardon graduated from Boston College (Bachelor of Science in Economics, cum laude) in 1967 and Fordham University School of Law (Doctor of Law, cum laude) in 1970. After practicing law briefly in New London, he was called to service as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1970 through 1973, where he prosecuted and defended numerous contested general courts-martial. After his military service, he returned to the practice of law in the City of New London.
Attorney Reardon is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Connecticut Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Second and Eleventh Circuits, the U.S. Navy-Marine Corps Court of Military Review, the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, and the U.S. Claims Court. He is past President of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, has previously served as a Governor of the Connecticut Bar Association, and is a Life Member of the American Association for Justice. He has been the Connecticut State Coordinator for Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, a non-profit public interest law firm, and he is President of The Civil Justice Foundation, a national non-profit organization that grants funds to public safety organizations. He has been chosen as a Life Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation.
