After two-and-a-half years of litigation, the attorneys at The Reardon Law Firm, P.C. have successfully resolved a legal malpractice case on behalf of their clients, whose son was killed due to medical malpractice in 1999, for $500,000. After their son’s death, the Plaintiffs hired then-Attorney Joseph Moniz to handle their medical malpractice lawsuit against Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. The Plaintiffs alleged that then-Attorney Moniz, who has since been suspended from the practice of law in Connecticut, was negligent in the handling of the case, resulting in its dismissal. The Reardon Law Firm negotiated this settlement at a mediation, bringing to an end this 11-year ordeal for the family.
